Tips for Approved Proposals

Good Proposal Examples
  • Clear editing reason

Example: "Verified by cross-reference with original text that 'author' was a mistranslation of 'work'"

  • Clear scope of change

Example: "Fixed typo in Chapter 3 ('she' → 'he')"

  • Evidence is provided

Example: "According to Oxford English Dictionary..."

  • Fix one issue at a time

Separate multiple fixes into separate proposals

Examples of Proposals Likely to Be Rejected
  • Unclear reason

    Example: "Changed randomly" "Fixed casually"

  • Changes based on personal preference

Example: "Because I prefer this expression"

  • Proposing massive changes at once

Split into multiple proposals as it's difficult for admins to review

  • Unfounded liberal translation

Clarify the correspondence with the original text

How to Write Edit Summary

The edit summary is important for admins to quickly understand the changes. Please refer to the following templates:

Typo/Mistranslation Correction
Typo fix: "work" → "author" (Chapter 3)
Readability Improvement
Readability improvement: Split long sentence into 2 sentences
Expression Consistency
Expression consistency: "he/she" → "they" (gender-neutral)
